NCHS Senior Spotlight: Mikayla’s future plans after high school is to attend Central Methodist University where she will also play softball. Her favorite memory in high school was, “When the Biology Club’s hamster died over Christmas break one year, Kearah bought a hamster that looked like the first hamster and didn’t tell Ms. Houchins when she brought it back. She did however tell everyone else in the class and we kept the secret for a long time until Ms. Houchins asked about it. Turns out that she knew pretty much the whole time that it was Bonnie 2.0!” Mikayla’s advice to underclassmen is, ” If you’re planning on going to college and they take college credit, take as many college courses as you can. The courses are cheaper than in college, and you get all your general education that is required for college out of the way. ” We are very proud of you Mikayla! The staff, administrators and teachers of NCHS wish you the very best in your life journey beyond high school. Congratulations! #ThunderbirdProud
