Madison Ausfahl Signs With William Woods

FULTON, Mo.—William Woods University softball head coach Tracy Gastineau has announced her first signing for the 2017 season today, as the Owls will welcome Madison Ausfahl to the team next season.

“We are excited to have Madison join our softball family,” said Gastineau. “She is a versatile player with experience at three infield positions as well as what she can do on the mound. As a pitcher, she has good fundamentals, movement, and we feel she will continue to grow in those areas.”

She added, “As an infielder and on the offensive side, Madison is athletic with the ability to hit for average or power. We feel Madison will fit within our softball program on and off the field. We look forward to her joining our program for the next four years.”

Ausfahl, an Auxvasse, Missouri, native, was a four-year letter winner at North Callaway High School, where she earned all-conference and all-district honors. She also led the Thunderbirds to an all-conference title and a second place finish at Districts.

She is the daughter of Chuck and Susan Ausfahl.madi
