Quiz Bowl Dominates!

Our Varsity Quiz Bowl team hosted Mark Twain and Community R-VI this evening.

With a stellar performance in the first match against Mark Twain, Varsity dominated with a score of NorCal 290 and Mark Twain 230. Nick Douglas was our leading scorer with 9 tossups.
They kept their momentum for the second match and continued to crush it against Community with a score of NorCal 350 and Community 70. Clare Starkey was our leading scorer with 8 toss-ups for the match.
Shout out to Mr. Olson as well for moderating for us and getting 3 matches read in under 2 hours which is an impressive feat!

 

COURTWARMING & Hall of Fame Schedule

This Friday (Feb 17th) will be Courtwarming and Hall of Fame inductions.

First game starts at 5:30 pm

Hall of Fame inductions between games (approx 6:20-ish)

Varsity Game (6:30)

Followed by Courtwarming Ceremony around 8 pm.

The gym and cafeteria will remain open after the ceremony for social hour.

Speech and Debate Wins Conference!

The Speech and Debate team won conference for the second year in a row. The individual results are as follows:

Duet Improv: Nick Douglas and Sam Slaughter 1st Place

Radio Speaking: Sam Slaughter 1st Place, Keagan Sullivan 2nd Place

Prose: Sam Slaughter 1st Place

Poetry: Taylor Bates 2nd Place

Original Oratory: Hannah Calvert 1st Place, Ned 2nd Place

Extemporaneous Speaking: Hannah Calvert 1st Place, Nick Douglas 2nd Place
