NCHS Senior Spotlight

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Finnian Clark…I think that my favorite part of both high school and grade school was making the friends that I have now. I am so thankful for them, and the constant support that they have provided me throughout the past years. What makes me the most Thunderbird Proud was my four year dedication to Baseball and Choir. I have two bits of advice to leave the underclassmen with. 1: Never take what you have, or where you are, for granted. Everything that you worked for could be gone all too soon. Cherish the memories and the people that you met forever. 2: Try something new, whether that thing be Drama, art, or basketball. If you don’t do it now, there may not be a chance for you to do it later. At the end of the day, what have you got to lose? Fantastic advice! We are so PROUD of you Finnian! Congratulations! The teachers, administration, and staff of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey beyond high school. #ThunderbirdProud

NCHS Senior Spotlight!

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Hannah McGrath…
My favorite high school memory is when we won softball districts during my sophomore year. What makes me “Thunderbird Proud” is being able to go somewhere and say I am from North Callaway to someone and they recognize that as a good thing. My advice to all the underclassmen would be not to procrastinate! Do not do it.
Great advice! We are so PROUD of you Hannah! The staff, administration, and teachers at NCHS wish you the very best in your life journey beyond high school. Congratulations!

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Ben Bondurant…
My favorite high school memory would have to be playing touch football with the boys during team sports. My favorite middle school memory would have to be teaching Slaten how to read. The part of high school that makes me the most “Thunderbird Proud” is the involvement of everyone. I’d like to think I know almost every kid in the school, and am incredibly grateful for that. I would like to wish the underclassmen luck throughout these next couple years. Never wonder what could have been, and don’t take anything for granted.
Great advice Ben! We are very PROUD of you! The teachers, staff, and administration of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey beyond high school! Congratulations! #ThunderbirdProud

NCHS Senior Spotlight!

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Rachel Pezold…My favorite memory from high school isn’t really just one specific time, its all the little moments I got to spend with my friends, even if it was just laughing and walking to class. Being involved in clubs has made me most Thunderbird Proud because I have had lots of opportunities to help others through them. My advice to younger classmen would be to be thankful for everything you get to experience in high school and don’t take any of it for granted.Awesome advice Rachel. We are very PROUD of you! Congratulations! The teachers, staff, and administration of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey beyond high school. #ThunderbirdProud

NCHS Senior Spotlight!

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Jayme Smith…
My Favorite memory from high school is all the time I spent with my friends practicing for band and FFA contests, especially all the times when we were laughing instead of working. My favorite memory from grade school is getting to grow up with my best friends, and the last day of my 8th grade year when we all sprayed Mr. Lauer with silly string.
Our current situation has made me the most Thunderbird Proud. The teachers and staff have been so supportive and the students have refused to let this pandemic crush our spirits.
Something I would want to tell the underclassmen is to get involved! I have made so many memories and lifelong friends because of the sports and clubs I was in. You can always quit a club if you hate it but once high school Is over you can’t go back and redo it.
Awesome advice Jayme! We are so PROUD of you. Congratulations! The staff, teachers, and administration of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey beyond high school! #ThunderbirdProud

NCHS Senior Spotlight!

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Madalynn Salisbury…
My favorite memory from high school was having my brother at school my freshman year and he was graduating. I got to meet a bunch of upperclassmen and play cops and robbers with seniors. My favorite grade school memory was being sent to the safe seat for passing notes with Savannah to each other, but when i was in the safe seat it made it worse and I would just throw balls of paper across the room. I didn’t really partake in activities because I never really found anything that sparked an interest. But for me what makes me most Thunderbird Proud would be the fact that the teachers were amazing to me, always knew how to crack jokes along with me. and just always made class fun. Legacy advice to underclassmen, “Never miss the chance to be involved and show people who you really are. Being a clown is okay, being a loud person is okay, just always make work fun but don’t let it distract from the fact that work is a need to be done. Work hard and always make it fun. Be authentic.”
Great advice. Congratulations! The teachers, staff, and administration of NCHS wish you the very best in your life journey beyond high school. We are so PROUD of you.

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Mackenzie Bohrn… My favorite memory of high school and grade school is Art club. Mr. Divers and Mrs. Eberts helped my love for art blossom into something that I cannot live without. And the field trips from art club, it feels like you are walking back in time because the best way to understand a time period is to look at their art. It is the most amazing feeling to me! What makes me “Thunderbird proud” is that we are a smaller school and get to know teachers and other students quite well. My legacy advice to underclassmen is, “Participate in the clubs and after school events that interest you. You might learn something new and meet people you might not have.Awesome advice. Congratulations Mackenzie! The administration, teachers, and staff of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey beyond high school! #ThunderbirdProud
