Breathe For Change ‘Wellness Class’ . 8 components were learned today:
- Settling In – which calms, grounds and centers
- Breath Awareness – creates awareness of breath and deepens self-awareness skills
- Mindful Movement – strengthens the body, enhances energy levels, stimulates the mind
- Community Connection – builds community, fosters collaboration, enhances trust and deepens relationships
- Focus – helps channel energy, cultivates inner peace, reduces stress, improves focus, behaviors and performance
- Creative Expression – increases curiosity through exploration, promotes reflection, fosters creativity
- Relaxation – slows down the mind, relaxes the body, enhances cognitive thinking and improves sleep quality
- Closing – powerfully completes a learning experience, creates meaning and inspiration
We incorporated meditation and yoga into our practice. Students who would like to participate can see Mrs. Leisinger
