New Teacher Feature: Please help us welcome Ms. Micaela Giessinger, English teacher at NCHS. Originally from Montgomery County, she and her family most weekends can be found at a motor cross track or on a hiking trail. She grew up having horses and has a cat that is 16 years old! Ms. Giessinger graduated from the University of Missouri. She says that her 10th grade English teacher was one of the greatest influences in her journey to become a teacher which is “empowering because I teach 10th graders now, too, so it helps me realize the impact I could have on my students’ lives.” One thing she is looking forward to the most in working with students at NCHS is ” listening to students. My goal is to make them feel heard!” Ms. Giessinger says if you could describe her with one word it would be “colorful”. Welcome and have a great year! #ThunderbirdProud
