NCHS Senior Spotlight!

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Evan Mackey…
My favorite memory of highschool would have to be taking the fieldd for the last time with my brothers, against South Callaway. Watching the crowd rush in to support us on our win, and last home game, meant a lot to us all. My favorite grade school memory is definitely drawing on the art tables (Thanks Ciara for making me remember that). What makes me Thunderbird Proud is my family. Not just my blood family, but the family I’ve grown to love over the past 12 years. We’ve been through everything together. The class of 2020 is truly a family. My advice to underclassmen, ” Be smart about the things you do, because once you do something, you cant ever take it back.”
Great advice! We are very PROUD of you Evan! Congratulations! The teachers, administration, and staff at NCHS wish you the very best in your life journey beyond high school. #ThunderbirdProud

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Kaylee English…
My favorite memories are made up of the simplest things and my favorite times were walking and being goofy from the Ag building to the school with Scylor, Cole and Evan in between classes. What makes me most “Thunderbird Proud” is the few true bonds I’ve created with the people here. I’ve created some friendships and memories I’ll remember forever.Advice I’d like to pass down to underclassmen is to” truly take in the small and simple moments. They might not seem to be a huge deal but in the long run they add up to mean a lot.”
Great advice Kaylee! We are PROUD of you! Congratulations! The staff, teachers, and administration of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey beyond high school. #ThunderbirdProud

???????????????????????????????????

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Kira Douglas…
My favorite memory from highschool is probably freshman year when we won powderpuff. The thing that makes me the most Thunderbird Proud was getting the chance to be a leader this past volleyball season. With such a small team I really enjoyed getting to get to know younger players, making new friends, and getting to watch them improve so much through the season. The advice I would leave for the underclassmen is, I”t really does go by faster than you think, and don’t be afraid to be yourself. Don’t worry about what others will think, do what makes you happy, join the clubs, play that sporst, wear what you want, These really are the years you can do anything with so make them count! Oh, and just choose your friends wisely. A bad friend group could make the difference between a good and bad year.”
Good advice. We are very PROUD of you Kira. The administration, staff, and teachers of NCHS wish you much success in your life journey after high school! #ThunderbirdProud

NCHS Senior Spotlight: From Abigail Middaugh…
My favorite memory in high school would definitely have to be meeting my best friend Alexis Hoffman in person. (We only knew each other and talked through social media until freshman year). Making so many memories with her the past 4 years I couldn’t just choose one. My favorite elementary memory would of course be kindergarten with Mrs. Jansen. She had the best classroom ever and she was and still is the best person ever! 🙂
I did do FFA for 2 years but other then that I never really joined clubs or sports. I don’t like to be on the spot light for people to watch me do my thing. The one thing that does make me Thunderbird Proud is being able to communicate with everyone and get to know them because we are a smaller school!
My legacy advice to underclassmen:
“Don’t make the mistake I did by not joining clubs or sports! Do them and be yourself even if you think you “don’t fit in” or “you’re not good enough” there’s no such thing as fitting in and not being good enough as much as you’ll want to think there is in high school. Talk to people and express yourself. ALWAYS do your homework, ALWAYS ask for help even if your scared, and ALWAYS study study study for those tests. You’ll regret it if you don’t. 🙂 and last but not least HAVE A TON OF FUN while your in high school because it goes by fast! Even if our 4 years did get cut a little more. 😉 “
Great advice Abigail. We are very PROUD of you. Congratulations! The teachers, staff, and administration of NCHS want to wish you all the best in your life journey beyond high school! #ThunderbirdProud
