New Staff Feature
New Staff Feature: Meet Mrs. Shilo O’Neal, Library aide at NCHS. She transferred here from Auxvasse and we are excited to have her join our NCHS Thunderbird family! We asked Mrs. O’Neal a few questions to get to know a little bit about her.
1. Where are you from? Do you have children/grandchildren or a pet?
I am from Calwood, MO. I graduated from NC in 1996. My husbands name is Jason, we collectively have 3 sons, Jake(16), Gabe(14), and Jaiden(11).
2. Name an interesting fact about you and/or your family.
I love to cook for my family when I am not at a football field somewhere!
3. When did you first become aware that you wanted to be working in education?
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, but I knew I was hooked when I stepped into a SPED classroom!
4. Was there a special person in your life that influenced your decision to want to work with students?
There were so many teachers/coaches that influenced my decision, but to name a few Mrs. Marlene Crane was a great English teacher, and Terry Metcalf was the only coach I had K-12.
5. What are you looking forward to the most in working with the students at NCHS?
Coming from the elementary, I am excited to work with the older students!
6. If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
BUSY!
7. What does Thunderbird Proud mean to you?
My definition of Thunderbird Proud is being a good person, going out of your way to make someone smile, taking care of each other, and being proud of where you came from.
We are happy to have Mrs. O’Neal at NCHS and know she will be a welcomed addition! If you have a chance to stop in the library, please tell Mrs. O’Neal hello. #ThunderbirdProud
