TBird Staff Feature

TBird Staff Feature: Teresa Tarrants is the new Registrar at NCHS. She is originally from Eldon, MO but has lived in Auxvasse for the past 30 years. She has 2 children who were both NCHS graduates and just recently became a grandmother! Something few people know about is that Ms. Tarrants has an antique doorknob collection. Having worked in the NC district for 18 years at Auxvasse Elementary, Mrs. Tarrants says what she likes most about working at NCHS is “seeing students that I saw start Kindergarten turn into responsible adults that are planning their futures.” She also states, “Thunderbird Proud means belonging to an exclusive group, including classmates, parents, faculty, and community members and being honored to be known as a part of that Thunderbird circle.” When asked to describe herself in one word, Mrs. Tarrants’s answer was “perfectionist.” If you need transcripts or have registration questions, please call or stop by the guidance office and Mrs. Tarrants will be more than happy to assist you. #ThunderbirdProud

TBird Teacher Feature

TBird Teacher Feature: Meet Mrs. Head, Sophomore and Senior Counselor at NCHS. Originally from Salisbury, MO, she has one son Benson and a fish name BJ! She says she loves to spend time with her sisters and family. They like to shop, cook, swim, and play cards/games together. Her family is always there for her through rough times and good times. She first became aware that she wanted to be a teacher/counselor in high school. She always knew she wanted to help kids. Her aunt, who was one of her junior high and FACS teachers, influenced her the most in becoming a teacher/counselor. Mrs. Head states this about working with the students at NCHS, “I just feel like we have so many students that have really good hearts. I love talking with them about their futures. It is so exciting to help them make plans or to listen to the plans they are making.” If she could describe herself in one word, she would choose DETERMINED! Stop by and say hi to Mrs. Head! You are always welcome! #ThunderbirdProud
