On Saturday, 8 NCHS students competed at the MSHSAA District Solo and Small Ensemble Music Festival. The following students earned a “Satisfactory” 3 rating: Emily Smith on her vocal solo, Kevin Wybrant on his trumpet solo, and Jared Bailey, Kevin Wybrant, and Charlie Moore on their trumpet trio. The following students earned an “Outstanding” 2 rating: Alex Higgins on her vocal solo, and Miriam Lauer on her vocal solo. The following students earned an “Exemplary” 1 rating: Brenden Dockery on his vocal solo and Emily Korff on her snare drum solo. Both Emily and Brenden will head up to Columbia on Saturday April 28th to compete at the MSHSAA State Music Festival.
